Gopher Resource Resumes Operations Following Fire at Eagan Recycling Facility

Gopher Resource is pleased to share that as of January 1, recycling operations have resumed at its Eagan facility. This resumption of operations follows a period of downtime during which the company worked to complete repairs following the fire that occurred at the facility on the morning of Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Thanks to the outstanding work of the Eagan Fire Department and assisting agencies, the fire was fully contained and extinguished quickly. All employees were evacuated safely and there were no reported injuries.

Once the fire department and building inspector determined it was safe to return to the impacted area, the Gopher Resource team began working around the clock to assess and repair the damage to the facility. As a result of this hard work and dedication, the Eagan facility is once again serving the community.
