Gopher Resource Helps Make $28 Billion Economic Impact in U.S.

New Study Shows Significant Benefit of Lead Battery Manufacturers and Recyclers in U.S.: 95,000 Jobs; $28 Billion Economic Impact 

A first-ever economic impact study (EIS) by the U.S. lead battery manufacturing and recycling industries shows the huge economic impact these industries – which include Gopher Resource – are making. The numbers are impressive.

In 2016, the combined industries enabled nearly 95,000 jobs for American workers and contributed more than $28 billion to U.S. economic output. The study also shows the livable wages being earned by employees in the recycling industry. In short, it is helping more people gain access to, and enjoy, the benefits of a stable, middle-class lifestyle.

The study, titled Economic Contribution of the U.S. Lead Battery Industry , was released February 1, 2018 by Battery Council International. The study highlights the positive role companies like Gopher Resource play in boosting the economy.
