Gopher Resource Appoints New Senior Executive

Chris Swanberg, Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety

Gopher Resource, LLC, of Eagan, MN, has announced that Chris Swanberg has joined the Gopher Resource senior leadership team. Swanberg began in March as vice president of environmental, health and safety (EH&S) and will help lead the company’s growth and support a strong community focus at its two facilities in Eagan, Minnesota and Tampa, Florida.

“Chris brings the utmost integrity and decades of professional experience to Gopher Resource,” said Mark Kutoff, CEO of Gopher Resource. Kutoff is confident the Swanberg will play a key role in furthering the company’s reputation as a world-class recycling organization dedicated to providing exemplary service and exceeding health and safety standards for employees, the environment and surrounding communities.

About Chris Swanberg, V.P, EH&S

Christopher G. Swanberg, 56, has been an EH&S professional for over 30 years. He was previously senior vice president of EH&S for CVR Energy, a Texas-based Fortune 500 company engaged in petroleum refining and nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing. Swanberg’s background includes technical and management positions across all EH&S areas, as well as regulatory affairs, compliance and auditing. Swanberg received his bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering technology from Western Kentucky University and his M.B.A. from the University of Tulsa.
