Michael, Lead Furnace Operator

Michael is a Lead in the Furnace Department at Gopher Resource and has been part of the team for 15 years. After spending more than a decade working hands-on across roles on the plant floor, Michael stepped into a leadership position where he supports his team and keeps operations running smoothly.

Because he has done nearly every job in the department, Michael understands what it takes to support his team day to day. Whether stepping in when the team is short-staffed or helping with scheduling, he leads with experience and respect for the people he works alongside.

Michael values the four-on, four-off schedule, which gives him time outside of work to ride his motorcycle, go fishing, and recharge. For him, Gopher Resource offers stability, safety, and a job he takes pride in doing every day.
