Gopher Resource is proud to support the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) and its work to strengthen public education throughout Hillsborough County. Through financial support, employee volunteerism, and participation in community programs and events, we help connect local students and educators with resources and opportunities that support their success.
Student Center for Postsecondary Exploration (SCOPE)
Gopher Resource is the main sponsor behind HEF’s first Student Center for Postsecondary Exploration (SCOPE), located at C. Leon King High School in Tampa. SCOPE provides students with individualized college and career planning and helps them explore college, technical, and workforce pathways as they prepare for life after high school.
Gopher Resource also supports SCOPE through employee volunteerism and scholarships for King High School students.

Annual Play FORE Education Golf Classic
Gopher Resource supports HEF’s annual Play FORE Education Golf Classic, which brings together golfers, sponsors and community partners to raise funds supporting students and teachers throughout Hillsborough County.
Annual EmpowerED Luncheon
Gopher Resource is proud to sponsor HEF’s annual EmpowerED Luncheon, bringing together businesses, educators and community partners in support of students, teachers and schools throughout Hillsborough County.
Men on the Move
Gopher Resource employees participate in Men on the Move at King High School through the SCOPE program. Employees share their career paths, educational backgrounds, and professional experiences with students, helping introduce them to different industries and opportunities available after high school.
Women in the Workforce
Through Women in the Workforce, Gopher Resource employees share their career experiences with King High School students and discuss educational pathways, professional opportunities, and lessons learned throughout their careers.
Supporting Students and Teachers
Gopher Resource also supports HEF initiatives that provide essential resources to local schools. Our employees participate in school supply efforts benefiting Hillsborough County teachers and students and volunteer for programs such as the Great American Teach-In.
Gopher Resource is also supporting two scholarships for King High School students this year, helping students continue their education and pursue their goals after graduation.
