Gopher Resource is proud to support the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) in Tampa, FL. Our commitment includes funding key initiatives, volunteering, and participating in community events:

Student Center for Postsecondary Exploration (SCOPE)

Gopher Resource is the main sponsor behind HEF’s first center for college and career readiness in Hillsborough County. Known as SCOPE, the Center is conveniently located within C. Leon King High School in Tampa. Our donation funds a full-time coordinator to assist hundreds of local students in developing post-graduation plans to achieve success. We also provide employee volunteers.

Annual Play FORE Education Golf Classic

Golfers, sponsors and HEF members unite for this annual golf tournament. Participants make a tremendous impact on HEF's vision that all students graduate from high school with the skills necessary to thrive on a variety of postsecondary pathways.

Annual EmpowerED Luncheon 

Annual fundraiser to benefit thousands of the most vulnerable students and teachers in the highest needs schools across Hillsborough County. 

Men on the Move 

A panel discussion with young gentlemen from King High School through the SCOPE program. The panel discussed their career paths, educational background, and working experience with the teens, giving them inspiration and ideas for their future careers.
