Gopher Resource Takes the Plunge Again
2025: Bigger, Bolder, and Colder!
Building on the success of our inaugural Polar Plunge participation in 2024, Gopher Resource once again embraced the icy waters to support Special Olympics Minnesota. This annual event is the primary fundraiser for the organization, which has been a steadfast partner since 1998. The funds raised are vital in providing year-round training and services to thousands of athletes with disabilities across Minnesota.
This year, our dedicated team members surpassed expectations by raising an impressive $6,849, significantly exceeding our previous contribution. This achievement not only reflects our team's generosity but also underscores our commitment to supporting Special Olympics Minnesota and the remarkable athletes it serves.
Many employees from our Eagan facility participated enthusiastically, bravely taking the plunge into the icy waters of Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. At Gopher Resource, giving back to our community is integral to our mission. Our continued participation in the Polar Plunge reflects this commitment, and we look forward to supporting Special Olympics Minnesota in future events.
2024: Our First Polar Plunge
In 2024, Gopher Resource participated in the Polar Plunge for the first time, with our team stepping up to the challenge to raise $4,300 for Special Olympics Minnesota. It was a memorable and rewarding experience, and the start of what has now become a Gopher Resource tradition.
A big shout out to our CEO John Graham, who lead by example, taking not one, but two plunges! Once alongside the Gopher Resource team and again for the Executive Challenge.
